Tim currently writes production music for Universal and BMG, and for independent publishers Mediatracks and Score Production Music. 
Tim’s music is regularly used by BBC, Netflix, Amazon, Sky Atlantic, Sky News, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT Sport,  and many other TV channels throughout the world.
His recent TV credits include; The Repair Shop, The One Show (both BBC1), The Recce- Amazon Prime, Champions League Football (Sky & BT Sport), Salvage Hunters - The Restorers (Discovery +), Aerial America- Cities 24 (USA/ Smithsonian) and many others. 
Tim regularly collaborates on projects with other music producers and enjoys working in a range of styles and genres. 
He also writes an Atmospheric Lo-Fi Electronic project called ‘Fields of Few’ which is released on Triplicate Records and Werra Foxma Recordings.
He is releasing two new ‘Fields of Few’ albums in 2023 with US labels Triplicate Records and Shady Ridge Records. 

my training

Tim Gilbert studied the Cello, Music Technology and Piano, at Trinity College of Music London, and then at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London, (Cello) where he was awarded a Masters in Music performance. 
As a Cellist, Tim regularly performs with many highly respected orchestras and ensembles including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Bristol Ensemble, English Symphony Orchestra, and Southern Sinfonia and for professional show productions. 
He has also recorded for TV and Film on many occasions and for many publishers and record labels including Universal Production Music, and BMG. 
He recently recorded Cello parts for a number of Hollywood film trailers including ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Mother’. 
Tim was the full-time Cellist in the Bath Pump Room Trio for 4 years.
